Cory Steinmetz
2017-2019 Cohort
Cory received his Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the Zilber School of Public Health at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He is passionate about providing evidence that promotes health in all policies, health equity, and population well-being. Prior to graduate school, Cory served as a Rostro de Cristo volunteer where he supported community-led initiatives on the outskirts of Ecuador’s largest city. As a graduate student, Cory worked on several research projects including a longitudinal data analysis of opioid prescribing practices of dentists, a case-control study on breast cancer incidence among young women, and a report on health disparities by socio-economic status in Milwaukee County. Cory is excited to complete his fellowship with the Wisconsin Division of Public Health where he will support the Office of Health Informatics. Preceptor: Milda Aksamitauskas
